Valentine's Weekend with Cousins

My sister Kelly and her girls came up this weekend while her husband Casey went ice climbing. We LOVE having cousins around! We didn't do much, but that's how I like it with so many little ones who need naps! Kelly made Alison a darling apron as you'll see in the slide show. Maybe some day she'll teach me how to sew??? PooPah and Grandma Blunck sent all the fixings to make Valentine cupcakes, we made rice krispie kisses, and of course sugar cookies with pink frosting! No shortage of treats this weekend! Chad, Kyle, and Alison sure LOVED having Eva and Mae around! (Sorry I didn't take any photos of Mae. Alison LOVED jabbering and waving her arms at Mae. I wish I would've grabbed a photo.) Oh, and don't mind me and Kelly posing with the cupcakes! That's purely to show our mother that we TRY to be cute and creative like her! Happy Valentine's Day!

FREE? Did someone say FREE?

This post is purely just to laugh at myself!!! I, like everyone else, enjoy free things! Well, today we intended on hitting Denny's for their FREE breakfast with our friends, Jamie and Landon. THE LINE WRAPPED AROUND THE BUILDING!!! I thought to myself, "I have buttermilk, eggs, and bacon at home...this is NOT WORTH THE WAIT!!" It WAS worth the good laugh we had for even trying and for even thinking about it! How much does a "grand-slam breakfast" cost anyway??? Did anyone else go? Well, it got us out of the house for a little while! :) I do need to re-evaluate what FREE things I should even care about! They're FREE for a reason!
