First Day of School

I think I promised in my last post that school pictures would be posted soon!  Does one month later count as SOON?  I'm not even going to give any excuses!

Chad started first grade on August 25th.  He is LOVING school!  He does seem to be a bit tired (ahem, grumpy) from going all day, but he digs his class, his teacher, his friends, and even his homework!  He does NOT dig his Mom coming to pick him up!  I have cut the apron strings and let him walk home with the neighbor kids without me!  :(

For dinner on the first day, we headed to Sweet Tomatoes to celebrate with our friends! Good times!  I mean, who doesn't love sucking jell-o through straws and going to the dessert bar as many times as you feel like?

And FINALLY on the 1st of September Kyle started Kindergarten!  Hooray!  He goes half day in the afternoon and loves that he gets to walk home with the kids on our street!  What a big boy!  On the first day he ran to me and jumped up into my arms with a huge hug!

Alison and I are enjoying the few hours every day while the boys are both gone!  She takes a nap, and I'd like to say that I get a million things done, but for some reason I don't!    Things always seem to come up!  I thought I'd be able to blog and get the house clean and read books and take naps and make dinners and, and, and!!!!  NOT!  It's all good though! Maybe I can get the month of September blogged before it's October!  We shall see!

What a good mom you are to let your kids walk home from school. I am not that brave yet, they hate it, but that is all right. What a cute family!

I am very behind--but then it's been a bit crazy here. I love the pictures and good grief--you have been just a bit busy from your boarder downstairs. So breathe a little more then it will all fall together soon... I hope!
