Salt Lake City Half Marathon 09'
I struggled with what to label this post....some thoughts: "To Brag, Or Not To Brag?", "What Did YOU Do Today?", "My Stomach HATES Me!!!", and "Just Another Post About ANOTHER Race I Did With Kerri!" Well, I went with the non-boastful, a little more humble title! Had to put in the 09' because I've done it once before in 06', and I'll probably be doing this one again! The official results are in, and I did it in 2:01:13, my new personal best!!! It was fantastic to run with my friend Kerri, and I am re-convinced of how down right amazing she is! (So proud of you for doing so well, especially after your CRAZY week!) The course has changed since 06', and I really liked the changes! The best one....we ran RIGHT by the end of our cul-de-sac! It was AWESOME! Coming around the corner and seeing my neighbors and my cute family was the BEST feeling! Not to mention that turning that corner past them meant that we were doing the HALF and not the WHOLE Marathon like those who turned left! It is so great to be a Runner Mom! We come from all walks (or RUNS) of life, all sorts of shapes and SIZES, each with unique strengths and weaknesses, various aches, pains, and even major health issues! But we do what we can, and sometimes we even push and do a little more than we think we can! This is just one of those things that keeps me going! Oh yeah, and my stomach really does hate me right now! One of the joys of pushing a bit too hard or something like that!!

Did I mention SIZES??? No wonder I can't always hear what Kerri is saying to me when we run! I'm such a GIANT! I know that's nothing new, but sometimes pictures just remind me how freekin' TALL I really am!

Liz, Can I just say how wonderful it is that you do this for yourself. I think we all need something. What a great release. You keep in shape, not to mention what an inspiration you are to me. Love you lots. XOXO!!
That REALLY is AMAZING!!! I was always impressed with people who ran long races, but now that I have tried one myself I am ten times more impressed! I really do think it is a great accomplishment. Good Job that time is awesome.

You're so on the ball, girl. Way to go getting your post up yesterday! I'm very impressed. And have I told you lately how amazing I think you are? I have? Good. Thanks for EVERYTHING.

Great job! I forgot to ask you how it went. If you noticed, I was a little out of it today. I missed the oat rocking me to sleep last night. One week can really spoil a gal!

Just a sweet "tweet" from the Pooh-pa twittermeister:
You rock girl! Now tell me again... what is a half marathon? Proud Papa
Feel free to brag away Liz. You rock.
So tall, and skinny! You look awesome, way to go! It really is an accomplishment, brag away, and then some more.
Oh, and about the runner's trots (ha ha- nice name huh?). Didn't happen around my race, but I dealt with it in training! It is such a pain. I always take some imodium and pepto before I run because of it.
great job Liz!!
That is so awesome! You are my inspiration to try to run one
Liz, I feel so STUPID!! I didn't even know you were running. . . .we probably totally missed you--I am so bummed. We watched a bunch of runners on our porch, but I am guessing with your time, that you were closer to the front when we were watching out the window.
Congratulations. What an accomplishment--especially just one year out from Allison. Glad to call you my friend.
I am finally catching up on blogs! So, I do have to remind you that Kerri is SHORT. Even to me. (Love ya Kerri.)
After I saw you the other day, I commented to Kerri that I thought it would be hard to see you every day (because I would be a bit self-concious). You are so gorgeous. Your height is part of your beauty. I'll just stay over here in my lowly West Jordan... :)
In reality, I would love to have all of you as neighbors. You are truly some of the best people I've ever met. I'd just have to get REALLY skinny and run like the wind first. :)
