New Traditions!

It's always nice to be able to stay in the comforts of our home to watch the LDS General Conference sessions in the Fall and in the Spring. My own mother used to make "Coffee Cake" sometimes for the Sunday morning session. We used to call it "Conference Cake." I've made that a few times, but it hasn't stuck as a tradition. This go around, I made Butterscotch Pecan Rolls and even added Cream Cheese Frosting. After scarfing them down, I told Jeff that we should make these our new tradition! His reply..."Don't we already have enough traditions?" Not that he didn't LOVE the rolls, it's just that I was on a kick for a while thinking that we didn't have enough traditions, and I guess I'm back on it! When he went to the Priesthood session on Saturday night, the kids and I made banana splits. Alison's banana split is plastic, but believe me she had her fair share of the real stuff! When she wants something she's really good at saying, "Me, me, me!"

When Daddy splits, we make banana splits! How's that for a new tradition?!!!And the new tradition that brings me a little more peace...we FINALLY added food and baby needs to our 72 hour kits! I know, I know! They weren't much before the food got added! We'll now join with so many of you and take them out every General Conference and make sure they are up to date!

Alison's hair is getting so long! Such cute kids. I love the idea of when Jeff splits you have splits! :) I went to Karin's when Casey split :) (And I went to your house for Valentine's weekend when he split!)

Way to go on the 72 hr kits. Me and Casey will survive but our girls sure wouldn't. Well, maybe Mae ;)

K - you've totally inspired me to start more traditions (love the banana split one!) AND to get going on my 72 hour kits. I'm sooo bad with that kind of stuff! Cute post Liz!

Don't you know that too much sugar is bad for your kids??

(Just kidding- it's me Karin. NO I am not the "other" anonymous blogger. Just staying up too late typing stupid things...)
